Trick-or-Treating at Melaleuca

Melaleuca always decorates and has a little walk-through for the kids of employees. I took Payton through yesterday, and she loved it. She had to touch all of the decorations, and she kept saying "Wooo." It was pretty cute. I liked this picture because she is a sickly little giraffe this year for Halloween just like the Madagascar giraffe. She is getting 3 teeth right now, including a moller, so she's not feeling the best. Hopefully she will have a good time at the BYUI Kiddie Carnival tonight! =)

Payton's 1st Costume

Okay, so we have one tree in our yard that has these huge beautiful orangish-yellow leaves falling from it, and I have been dying to get some cute pics of Payton by it before the leaves get covered in snow. Well, today I was headed out the door to take Payton trick-or-treating at Melaleuca all dressed up in her li'l giraffe costume and thought it might be cute to get some halloween pics in the leaves. You can totally tell that she didn't feel good... I couldn't even get one teensy weensy smile out of her, although she seemed to like it. She kept picking up the leaves to inspect them. Anyway... this is Payton's first year that we have dressed her up for Halloween. She makes the perfect little giraffe... minus the fact that she's short and squishy instead of tall and skinny. =)

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING!

Since I'm horrible at journaling and love to scrapbook but never seem to find the time to drag out all of my scrapbooking goodies, I've decided to try digital scrapbooking. So far I'm totally addicted! Looking at these pages you can totally tell which ones I did first and which ones were my latest attempts. Lots of fun! I'm sure someday Payton will appreciate having a full scrapbook. I only hope I can continue this obsession with all of my future kiddies as well.

Today we took Payton to the nature park in Rexburg to feed the ducks. We had the heels of about 3 loaves of bread that we didn't want to go to waste, so we decided to share our wealth with the poor ducks that only get fed about 500 times per day. This was one of our favorite places to go when Gregg and I were dating. We would get a $5 Hot and Ready pizza from Little Cesars and feed the crust to the ducks. Anyway, Payton loved the ducks. She kept pointing and saying, "Wow!" I think she would have tried to kiss one if they would have let her get close enough. Instead, all of the poor little boys in church are subjected to her slobbery kisses. Prelude to the teenage years? I'm hoping not. I do have to say that the geese were making me a little nervous. I kept getting flashbacks of my parent's old neighbor's crazy geese that would chase us and honk at us every time we would get out from floating the Big Wood River in Gooding.

Proud pumpkin owner

Mama's li'l punkin

We took Payton to the U-Pick Red Barn pumpkin patch in Idaho Falls last Saturday to pick out some pumpkins. She loved it. She still plays with her pumpkins at home... standing by them... sitting on them... patting them... you'd think they were best friends. It was fun to go out and pick them from the field since we've had such a beautiful Fall this year. I think it was almost 70 degrees that day. We plan on painting the pumpkins soon so pics to come!
